gear ratio

im new to muskie fishing although i have caught a 48 incher at wabigoon. My question is this , what gear ratio reel is best when throwing big bucktails[11 inchers]? thanks!

I think a power handle on the reel is more important than the gear ratio of the reel. I personally like the 5.2 to 1 ratio reels with a big powerhandle on them. It makes a world of difference when throwing the big blades.
