Lac Vieux Desert
This is the results of a 24 hr. foray on 3" ice. 8 eyes with 6 being over 22". Largest was 27 1/2". Most northerns averaged 22-24". Plenty of perch were hitting the tip-ups and dropping the "too large" minnows. Would not recommend having 6 guys near each other on the current 3" of ice. Atleast we don't have the snow cover insulating, so with the predicted single digits later this week it should continue to make for a better base. Observed one snowmobile running from the west shore over 2 miles out before turning around. Very chancey, especially when he stopped to make the turn (?????)
