I have been getting allot of calls lately at the shop and personally about ice conditions. As of right now I have not been on the ice myself, but the reports I have been getting is there is 3-4 inches of ice in select spots out there. There are some anglers are sneaking out, but they are reporting that they are seeing allot of ice around 2 inches. Caution is advised at this point if the snow holds off there should be alot of good ice in the near future. If you do go out don't forget the life jacket and ice picks and a rope. These three things will save help save your life also don't go alone, bring a friend and let some one know where you are going and when you will be back. A little trick I learned the hard way is to have dry cloths in the truck so you can get warm if you do go through and have a spare key where you can get to it if you lose your keys. Good luck to all, and be safe.
