    Any Predictions on when first (Safe) ice will be?

    Default First Safe Ice

    I went ice fishing on a couple of inland lakes in the Hiawatha National Forest today (11/30/08). Fishing was very slow; need to make more ice. Jeff

    Diane had a couple guys in the shop today that said there was 3 inches of ice in the back of the harbor and were going to give it a try today. I had a couple guys that were heading for the Groveland Mine ponds Saturday. Same report - about 3 inches of ice.
