Opening day started slow as my 3 clients and I found nothing but pike in the shallow depths, 3 to 6 foot, same results along rocky shorelines, but hit the jackpot when we started working deeper water, 16 to 18 foot over wood. Using Invasion jigs tipped with muds, mixed bait, and small plastics, we boated roughly 25 eyes, kept our 12 and were heading back to the landing by 12;30. Great way to start out the year.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
