Sunday was another tough day for us except for the small pike that hit and shook off around 9am. It was another typical cold-front situation with very little surface activity and very little bait showing up in the shallows. We “emptied the clip” but couldn’t get anything going. The wind finally shifted to the SW but it was too late in the day to make any difference.

Water temps dropped 4 degrees since last weekend. The first real cold spell in September seems to really put the muskies in a negative mood for several days. Hopefully, better days are coming!

I will not be on the water next weekend during the big Tidioute tournament.

Good luck and stay tuned!
