It was some very tough fishing for us on Friday morning as the cold front seemed to have things locked down for the 4 of us. We did not see any toothies. We barely saw any aquatic life whatsoever. It was the first fishing trip of the year that we saw zero eagles or ospreys hunting the river. The only heron we saw was perched 50 feet up in a tree. Everything was deep and locked down.

We are suppose to chase toothies again on Monday but we are in a holding pattern pending the severity of the storms coming today. Muddy water takes longer to clear up when the river is running low. So, we’ll wait and see.

Good luck this weekend and stay tuned!
