We only fished a half day on Sunday after battling floating algae all morning long. Denny managed to stick this nice musky while chasing walleye during the early morning hours.

The floating/suspended algae has been a real problem the past couple of weeks and with the current low/clear water, this stuff is going to continue to grow. This is a problem that usually happens during late-summer but with lower than normal flows this Spring, it’s already happening. If your bait even touches the river bottom, there is a good chance it will be covered with this stuff. This is going to be a real problem moving forward.

You’ve been warned!
