Well, here we are folks, fishing opener is tomorrow and we all are anxious to launch our boats and hit the water, including me, back out guiding again for yet again another year. No one knows what to expect with the water level being so low, about the only thing I can say is what ever you decide to do or go, trim up and go slow. No one knows for sure how successful the spawn was, different opinions out there, so with that,I would fish it like a regular opening day, jigs and minnows, crankbaits, or plastics, shallow rocks, boulders, mid depths with sharp dropoffs, all with slow retrieves. Remember it's opening day, boat landings will be crowded, use common sense, most importantly, have your boat loaded and ready to go before launching, nothing worse than waiting in line for someone unloading their gear one piece at a time.

Good luck to all, and be safe.
