We had 5 muskies and 2 pike show themselves at boatside but (apparently) they weren’t hungry. Craig also had a blowup on his bait that missed the hooks. The largest fish we saw was in the low 40’s.

The weather and wind could have been better but out of our control! River levels dropped again and are down to summer levels already. It has been awhile since the river has been near summer levels in May. The lack of snow pack from a mild-ish winter is the main reason.

We saw several smallies up shallow and looking to spawn soon.

Stay tuned and good luck!
