I hit the river yesterday morning to try a different technique for catching bass and walleye in low clear water. Things went very well in just the few hours I fished. Several bass and pike hit the bag but I lost a very big walleye and decent musky at the boat within 25 minutes of each other. The walleye was the largest I had seen all year. All I can safely say is she was (at least) a 10# fish and fought much harder than ‘normal’ for a fish that size.

Heading back out soon for Day #2 of the experiment. Hopefully, we can generate some more excitement this morning as well.

Stay tuned and good luck!
