We fished as many good spots as possible before the sun got high in the sky Wednesday morning. 3 nice fish showed themselves at boatside but 2 premature endings of fig-8’s could have cost us a fish or two. The third fish showed up late, hung around under the boat for 30 yards then missed the bait a few casts later. We did put a smallish pike in the net but that was it by the time noon rolled around. The first fish that boiled at boatside was the nicest of the 3 and in the mid-40’s range.

Thursday’s Tionesta hunt was much tougher for us. We saw absolutely nothing but we did an awesome job of looking like we knew what we were doing. The lone trolling boat cruised past us at 1:30 and wondered if we were getting blanked like they were.

No fishing for my boat over the next 3 days. My shoulders and elbows demanded a break….So, I am obliging.

Good luck and stay safe!
