Despite the mayfly hatch going on, the walleye action was once again pretty good yesterday. My guest and I found active eyes in mostly 12 to 16 feet of water over boulders and submerged stumps, not a hot bite by any means, just took a little patience on our part to work these areas over more than a few times, but we managed 6 nice keeper eyes, all on Invasion jigs tipped with extra large fatheads, leeches, or 1/2 crawler. After our final eye was caught, we ventured into the shallow weeds and here we loaded up on some very nice size bluegills, tossed all females back so they could finish their spawning. Back out today for another trip, will keep you posted.
