It was a difficult weekend trying to find a cooperative musky. We had a nice low to mid-40’s fish take a swing on Saturday but quickly shook off near the boat. That was the only fish we saw over 2 days. Water temps and levels are still funky after the big winter blast from last week. It is always tough fishing after a 7 or 8 degree temperature drop but I wasn’t expecting things to be that tough. Last year at this time, the same type of big cold front dropped snow and chilly precipitation making things difficult for a couple of weeks.

I will likely chase muskies again this coming weekend but still not sure exactly where.

Good luck and stay tuned!
