Default Time to kick things off this weekend.

Time to fish for the first time since late-December! We are planning to chase a mixed bag of species on Sunday with trout and musky being the main attraction. (I had planned to fish on Saturday as well but we will be attending the Warren/Chartiers Valley playoff game instead.)

It looks like a pretty weekend coming up and maybe too pretty to get the fish fired up. We shall see soon enough. There is always that little anxiety when launching the boat for the first time after a lengthy lay-off......hoping it starts! It has been 28 years in a row and hoping for #29 Sunday morning.

    Good luck and stay safe!

Pat and I decided to chase big browns on a very sunny Sunday. We did OK while hooking 6 different fish but only getting 2 of them in the net. The water is still really cold so we slowed things down and combed each area thoroughly. The 5 of the 6 hits were light and only 1 solid take. Both browns were in the 22-23.5 inch range. We quit after 6 hours because the action slowed way down.

It was great finally getting on the water after a 3-month break. Looks like some perfect weather on the way to warm-up things up this week.

    Good luck and stay safe!
