We were trying to get Kyle’s dad his first musky but instead, Kyle managed to stick the only toothy we saw yesterday and it was his first pike ever. Today, the 3 of us will likely spend most of the day hunting down the elusive musky for Clayton because that was Kyle’s intent for this weekend.

Water temps had dropped a few degrees over the past couple weeks and the water is back to very low levels for December. We saw 1 other boat all day! Needless to say, the fishing is still tough but it is nearly impossible to catch anything while sitting on the couch.

Today will be the last trip for my boat until at least February. I am hoping to finally have my other shoulder repaired in a couple of weeks unless Covid restrictions shut down elective surgeries at Hamot before then. Fingers crossed.

Stay tuned and good luck!
