Fishing action the past two weeks has been decent at best for walleye but very good for gills and crappies. Catching lots of walleye but finding mostly small ones, lots of effort put into searching and pounding different spots and structures. All I can say is that there is no fall pattern yet and they are scattered. Bluegills and crappies on the other hand are on a very good bite. Gills are being by vertical jigging small round head jigs with lite wire hook tipped with a small piece of crawler or waxies in the cribs, the are relating tight to the bottom on these cribs, some are also being caught around deep submerged stumps. Crappies are being caught not only on the cribs and deep stumps, but also on the river channel edges containing lots of wood and also getting them on deep stump and rocky points, been getting some in 23 to 30 ft. depths.

Back out today for a panfish trip, this should be fun.
