My 16 year old and her boyfriend went out with me for a couple hours this morning. We were just looking to bend a rod. My daughter took the 3-dollar pot with the first, largest and only fish landed......a 10-inch bass. The river below Warren has cooled off a bit and the trout-water section is warming up simply because the reservoir behind it is low for this time of year. When Pittsburgh needs water to float the barges, Kinzua is called upon as the main supplier. (Low Rez water equates to a warmer outflow temp from the upper gates.)

After shifting some dates around (again), it looks like Friday will be my next “for sure” fishing day. I may sneak out by myself Wednesday morning but I am not betting on it unless I get some things done here at home.

Stay tuned and good luck!
