We had the slowest bass bite if the summer yesterday. With very little visible surface action on a cool Tuesday morning, the subsurface action was just as slow. We netted 5-6 fish with 3-4 more shaking off after hook-up. It kinda felt like a cold front out there especially with the NW breeze. We fished from 6-11am.

Back at it this morning with the same program. Tomorrow, we will give the muskies and pike a shot to round out day 3 of their trip. It has been fun chatting with Jerry, the Tennessee smallmouth guide who accompanied his partner, Larry. Jerry and I have been slinging some southern ‘slang’ with each other. It’s about time that I had someone with me who actually knows how to properly articulate the English language.😉

Water is low and getting lower as last weekend’s rain continues flow through the system.

Good luck and stay tuned!
