    Default 9/21 and 9/22

We decided to revisit a stretch of water I hadn’t fished in 20 years over the weekend. It was more of a recon mission so expectations were pretty low. Plus, we only spent 5 hours on Saturday and 3.5 hours on Sunday there.....not a lot of time in the musky world. We were looking for pike and musky but did not see either of the two which was kinda surprising. Actually, we did not see any type of fish anywhere. The water was dead.

Next weekend we will chase the toothies on both days. It is highly doubtful I will return to that area anytime soon.

    Good luck!

We ended up only fishing 5 hours each day due to Rose’s head cold. We missed 1 nice musky and no other sightings on Saturday. Sunday’s small-ish musky hit the net around 9am and no other toothy sightings. A few decent bass sprinkled around but otherwise a pretty quiet weekend. If Fall is coming, let’s get it started very soon.

We are chasing Esox on the fly next weekend while spending a few hours under the cover of darkness Friday night....should be a fun time.

    Stay tuned and good luck!
