Not much change in the fishing action since my last report, this past week found the best walleye action in the deeper boulders and river channel bends and good action from the panfish in deep wood, cribs/brush, and deep stumps and root systems. The walleye were on a decent bite at best, not aggressive by any means, a slow dragging retrieve with Invasion jigs and either a large fathead or 1/2 crawler worked the best. Crappies and bluegills by far were the best bite, 1/32nd or 1/16th ounce round head jigs tipped with a little plastics along with a small piece of crawler or medium fatheads worked the best when vertical jigged over and in the brush, cribs, and stumps. In many cases you can see large amounts of suspended fish above the target area, a slow drop and pause can get you some of these suspended crappies and gills, and in some cases walleye, and some decent ones at that.

A few days off feels good, back at it on Sunday, will keep you posted.
