On the water before sunrise and off we went. A nice morning with a little drizzle but cool temps all day. Within the first 30 minutes, Jake was on the board with his first ever musky. Two hours later, brother Zach’s Rig Boss 7 was hammered as soon as it hit the water by a big fish but after 10 seconds of surface-wallowing, she shook free. Then, it was time for Dad to set them straight with 2 fish in back to back casts. One was a decent pike and the last fish of the day was an accidental 31” x 10.5 lb. walleye. Another big walleye eating medium sized musky baits.

No follows at all. I threw a walleye sized lure all day just to see what would happen. Nothing did happen.

Chasing walleye tomorrow so we will probably catch a musky or two.

Good luck and stay tuned!
