Sundays action started off a little slow but gradually increased and my 2 guests and I had an action packed day. Using Invasion jigs tipped with large fatheads, we started as usual in the shallow weeds/wood and worked these areas all day. Walleyes, perch, and pike were for the most part in most places we fished and very aggressive, many bite offs by the pike but we also boated several, keeping 3 very nice ones. Walleyes and the perch were much more aggressive than usual as they hammered our jigs and minnows, not many short hits. The hottest bite of the day was late afternoon with a storm moving in and the walleye went nuts, 3 feet of water and some very nice eyes were caught but all released because we already had our fish for the day. Nice mess of jumbo perch added to our walleye and pike made for a heavy stringer. My young guest, Christian, caught his first pike and walleye on his 9th birthday, Happy Birthday Christian.

Back out today for a half day trip, will keep you posted.
