Despite the warm temps and bright sky's, Fridays walleye and perch bite was just as hot as the temps. My two guests and I spent the day working various weed patches and shoreline weeds and wood and found many aggressive eyes and perch lurking in the shallows, hard to believe they were in 3 to 4 foot of water with the warm temps and bright sky's, but they were. We missed an awful lot of fish and we also released a good deal too, but at days end we had 9 nice eyes, 15 perch and 1 crappie. Talk about a hot day and a hot bite. All fish were caught on jigs tipped with minnows or soft plastics.

Back out today for a morning trip, will keep you posted.
