Thursday greeted my two guests and I with calm water and bright sky's and it remained that way all day with temps reaching 80 plus degrees, but we found the fish. Using Invasion jigs tipped with large fatheads, we found walleye and perch in the shallow weeds, after working 3 different weed patches, the bite slowed down but we had a few nice eyes and some perch in the well and we moved to deeper water. Trying 3 different areas in depths from 12 to 16 foot over heavy wood we picked up 2 nice eyes but they were far apart so we moved once again to deeper water, 16 to 20 foot over hard bottom with large boulders and here we had a field day with the eyes. The eyes were holding tight to the bottom so we had to drag our jig n minnow across the bottom to get them to bite, would not chase an aggressive jigging minnow. After days end and releasing many walleye, we ended with 9 nice eyes and some nice jumbo perch.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
