Well ice condition are not the best. A couple of the bays are pretty solid. But puts a lot of people in a small area. The recent high north winds did a number on the ice conditions with shoves 2-3ft high in the bays we can get out on which makes it hard to get out very far, even walking is pretty treacherous, the smooth ice between the shoves is only 2 inches thick. We are suppose to get some good temps later this week single digits Friday/Saturday night and teens earlier at night. That should make for good ice. Sand Bay had open water right up to the shoreline last weekend. Not a good start to the season but things are changing later this week Hoo Raa.
