We grinded thru another tough day of musky fishing but Nick finally scored a nice upper 30-inch specimen on Sunday. After the sun had baked the water thru midday, the fish started to wake up in the afternoon.

Hopefully, the rain cuts us a break this week and water levels have a chance to recede!

A nice 3-day weekend coming up.

    Stay tuned!

My son had my boat out around Warren and said it was ridiculous (18,000 cfs). You had to duck under the railroad bridge if you were standing! They actually found some smallmouth in the limited number of low current places that they could find. He comes in from Virginia and was going come hell or high water! I fished the lower river the day before and it was actually hazardous with all of the floating logs, etc! Bring on the snow! Can't get any crazier!

Just to add more perspective to how high 18,000 can be, 22,500 is max outflow.....upper and lower gates wide open.

The main reason it is THIS high, is the ACE had to hold water back for a few days so the mussel study near Tidioute could be competed.
