Tuesdays walleye and smallmouth action started out on the positive note as my two guests and I found active fish relating to an 8 foot hump with large submerged stumps, using 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or large leeches, we boated a few nice smallies along with one real nice eye mixed in with a few throwbacks. Moving on to a series of single submerged stumps and mid lake humps we found little or no action. Wasn't until we tried a shallow wooded shoreline in 4 to 5 feet of water that we hit the jackpot. With a slight north wind blowing, we worked this shoreline back and forth several times and had very good action on every pass from both walleye and smallmouth, also boated several rockbass but they don't count. Guess a north wind and cooler temps is what it took to get the fish moving.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
