    Default 5/12 and 5/13

We spent both stormy days chasing big trout. On Saturday, we had action from about 15-17 trout. 5 made it to the net, 7 shook off and a few follows. Of the trout we had follow, 1 was a very nice specimen in the 25 inch range. On Sunday, we only had 1 hookup and after 3 jumps, she was gone. That was it!

2 inches of total rain in the Kinzua valley on Saturday will ultimately lead to high river discharge levels very soon.

Had to be fun in the rain Saturday! I was trout fishing in the Brookville area and the rain stayed away there most of the day. Stream levels up your way went through the roof Saturday! Curious if your seeing any trout from the Conewango mouth on down river a few miles?

A few here and there earlier this Spring but it was too muddy to fish last weekend. The trout fishing is much tougher than it was a few years back but I think our catch size is larger overall these days.
