Paul and his group booked a day on "Pete" for some ice with Ray and I yesterday. They have been out with us on open water many times, but this was their ice trip. It was a nice day to be on the ice, lot of biters and lookers. The tip=downs and Automatic Fisherman had almost all the action, with jigging nearly non-existent. We tried spoons and jigs if every size and color in the box tipped with plastics, spikes, waxies, minnow heads, minnow tails, and whole minnows and they would just look at it and go away. We finished with some nice crappies, one at 15", some "keepers", and over 20 "shorties". Really slick on top, and should get worse with the rain that's predicted for tonight through the day on Monday.

Keep a tight line!!!
