    Good info, thanks Red.

    Honestly, my hooking percentage at the boat has gone up a bit over the last couple years. I have been trying to set the hook back into the fish when possible and hope for the best. And you're right, that wimpy tip section on the Flyrods can make it tough. I'll be curious to see how manufacturers refine their designs for some of the next generation flyrods.

    they are 1 piece Rods I just want the new big nasty with the longer handle...also just broke handle on my bigdawg I bought this summer sending back in hoping it gets replaced with new model
