We did well fishing for smallmouth and the trout fishing wasn't bad either. The largest trout was 24" and we had several bass in the 4# bracket. Water temps dropped significantly since last weekend as seasonal temps finally arriving.

I did see something (in person) that I had heard about a few times before but had never seen. We were flying down the river in between 2 islands when I saw the head of an eagle sticking up in the water and his wings were flapping as if he had been injured or something. As we got closer, the eagle was doing a breast stroke while still holding onto a large sucker. The eagle was dragging the sucker to shore before his plot was interrupted by us. Pretty cool stuff!!
