    Default 10/21 and 10/22

    Another slow October weekend of fishing for my boat. We netted 1 small musky and lost 1 at boatside on Saturday. Sunday was a big zilch with no toothy sightings. By the time 3pm rolled around on Sunday, it appeared we were the only other fishing boat within 5 miles of the launch!


    IIRC, this is the slowest October musky fishing I have seen (on the Allegheny River) since 1997.

    I'm still blaming this crazy weather. We still have water temps right around 70 around here. With a change finally coming this week, I sure am hoping to be able to get a couple trips in once water temps come down and before Old Man Winter shows up. Might be a pretty short window for that this year.
