Wednesday's action started out on the slow side as my guests and I found very little action working 10 to 12 foot deep wood or windblown shorelines, that changed when we went deeper and found active eyes in 14 to 16 ft depths over submerged wood. Not a great bite, but good quality fish, one here and one there. After working this area for some time, we decided to try areas with deep rock and gravel and this paid off for us as we boated the last of 3 limits but also a few more throwbacks, not a sign of a pike or smallie all day. All fish were caught on Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
