Janet from Waukesha booked a trip for her husband Curt as a birthday gift for this morning. They have been fishing "The Rock" for many years and wanted to learn some new presentations and locations. They mostly cast, or troll cranks and have never soaked dead rods or vertical jigged before. I showed them how to locate and mark submerged wood along the channel edges, and what it looks like on the screen. We worked two spots with the jigs and dead rods and boated a bunch of "shorties", and 2 "keepers". We ended the day jigging ice jigs and soaking dead rods for blue gill. We boated 18, and kept 10 for a nice meal.
