    Default 8/4 Fishing

We hit the river on a musky hunt today. After spending a few minutes discussing our plan and some fig-8 practicing, the hunt began. On the 6th musky cast Sara ever completed in her life, she smacked a 48" that came in hot at boatside and she sealed the deal with a beautiful L-turn into a high-banking first turn of the 8.

We raised 4 more very decent muskies and caught 3 pike before noon. I pulled the bait away from 1 of those boatside follows hoping someone could stick it on a throw-back but no such luck.

So to recap, the 2017 boat record thus far was caught by a first time musky fisherwoman on her 6th musky cast ever which happened to be with a spinning reel. Go figure.
