Don from Chicago joined me for a morning on "Pete". Don is an on the spot camera man for a major Chicago TV affiliate. He is assigned to cover everything from parades to shootings, and with the way Chicago is going, he is quite busy. He said he had a rare three days off in a row and decided to get away and relax. He has never been to Wisconsin, except to drive through it and decided he wanted to do some fishing. We started the morning jigging and soaking dead rods tipped with large fat-heads. We tried 2 spots and managed 3 "keepers", lost one at the boat, some "shorties, and white bass. He has never used or seen planer boards in use so we finished the trip pulling cranks. We had more "shorties", white bass, and lost 1 slot fish in the upper 20's at the net when she shook her head and spit the Shad Rap.
