Saturdays action started on the slow side as my guest and I in search of panfish worked a good amount of cribs with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a small piece of crawler and found just two 13 plus inch crappies, both were suspended over the cribs, no gills or perch. Moving to deeper water over submerged wood, we found just a few active fish that were released. Despite the warm temps and not a whole lot of wind to work with, we made a move to shallow weedy areas and this paid off for us. Bluegills were tucked in the weeds in decent numbers, many small ones but we did get some real nice ones as well. Walleyes were relating to the outside edges of the weedlines in slightly deeper water, got our limits and also had a few throwbacks and we also got one keeper smallie, we were off the water by 2 pm.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
