No big changes in walleye action the last two days as water temps continue to rise due to these hot temps, lack of wind and bright skies all playing a factor in fish activity. Not that we aren't catching fish, we are but it takes a lot of patience, Two days in a row were spent either vertical jigging or casting and a slow retrieve with Reeves or Invasion weedless jigs tipped with either large leeches or 1/2 crawler in 12 to 16 foot of water over submerged stumps, the bigger the better. Been getting some decent eyes but an awful lot of 6 to 10 inchers, good keepers in the next two to three years. Smallmouth are often mixed in with the eyes in the deep wood, big problem is all the rockbass taking your bait. Best smallie action the last two days has been in the shallow wood/weed mix, very aggressive in the shallow hot water. Panfish action very slow, worked a good number of cribs with very little action, strange for this time of year.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
