    Thumbs up 7/19

Ed and his son Billy are spending a weeks vacation at their summer home in Juneau County and booked a morning trip on "Pete" for today. We started the morning jigging minnows on steep channel edges but the fish did not want to have anything to do with it , so we put the boards and cranks in the water to end the day. We pulled Shad Raps, Flicker Shads, and Salmo Hornets and finished the day at 11 am with, 3 "Keepers",2 perch, 19 white bass, (kept 12), 18 "shorties", 2 northern pike, 6 cat's, and 2 sheep's head. They took one baggie of walleye and perch, and one of white bass fillets to enjoy for during the remainder of their vacation week. A couple of times we had 5 six on at one time and Billy handled it very well. The only time Ed could get his hands on a rod is when Billy was fighting another.

    Keep a tight line!!!
