After a very tough outing on Friday, Saturday's action was a very welcome turnaround. With a good cloud cover and a stiff West wind blowing, my guest and I found very good action in just 3 to 4 foot of water on a wind blown grassy shoreline. Using both Invasion and Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either large fatheads or 1/2 crawler, we found a couple of nice eyes on our first pass, deciding to give this area another go, we found great action as the eyes really began moving in on a feed and we limited out on this pass with some nice fish. The rest of our trip we worked fallen trees and rocky areas out of the wind in search of what ever would bite and we did find some very nice smallies. Biggest surprise of the day was when we found a very large expanse of wild roses, red, white, and pink colored the shoreline of this rather large island, so beautiful.

Back out today with my son, much needed trip for father and son.
