The past two days has seen a mixture of pike and walleye along with the occasional smallie in anywhere from shallow weeds to 12 ft depths over mud and wood bottom. During our two day trip, my two guests and I worked many areas, active fish in some areas and nothing in others, typical for this time of year with all the bug hatches and young of the year perch swimming around out there. Tuesdays action was mostly from pike and smallmouth while Wednesdays was mostly walleye with a few pike and just two smallies. All fish were taken on Invasion jigs tipped with either large fatheads or 1/2 crawler. The big mayfly hatch has started, saw a few of them yesterday so they will be a problem very soon.

Back out on Friday for a half day trip, will keep you posted.
