Thursday walleye action remained on the good side, fish were scattered between 6 and 8 foot depths and all relating to weeds of some sort. My two guests and I got an early start and it paid off as we found some action right off the bat. Using 1/16th ounce Invasion and Reeves weedless jigs tipped with 1/2 crawler or large fatheads, we had few good hits and misses in 4 foot of water around log jams but ended up with one nice eye and a few rock bass. We then moved to weedy areas and this move paid off for us as we boated a good deal of eyes along with some nasty skiney slimy pike. Most fish came on 1/2 crawler, only a few on fats.
No sign of the larger mayflies as of yesterday morning but they are coming soon.

Couple days of much needed rest, will post after next trip.
