Kathy and Bob Thiele are a couple that the fish must fear. They come here every year and they always catch nice fish. They are here with Bob's brother Bill Thiele. On June 6th Bob Thiele landed a 27 1/4 inch Walleye, then later that same day he landed a 35 inch Pike. Both fish were caught on six pound monofilament line. They take their camera. They have given us many great pictures over the years....and they're doing it again.

Since the Walleye opener on May 13th, we've had our eleven cabins open to anglers for 26 days now. Our free fishing contest, offered to Oak Haven registered guests only, charts the top ten (by length - mouth closed, tail squeezed) of nine different species of fish. In the last 26 days, our guests top ten Crappies are between 13 and 14 7/8 inches. Bob Thiele's 27 1/4 inch Walleye is our leader and his 35 inch Pike leads that category. We've had two Muskie caught with the biggest being 51 inches. Mark Woldruff is our Bass leader at 20 3/4 inches. The biggest Perch we've seen in ten years was landed June 6th. Jerry Lubbers broke that record with a 13 1/8th inch Perch. Our biggest Rock Bass is 11 1/8th inches. Our biggest Sunfish/Bluegill so far is 9 1/2 inches...but we're sure to see some ten inch 'Gills real soon.

Oh....and we're just a day or two away from opening our two nice heated swimming pools. Enjoy your summer!
