I actually did run down to Soldier's Point for a few hours yesterday afternoon when it finally warmed up. Did not find the fishing earth shattering, but reasonably steady when I finally figured it out. Jigging for me was pretty dismal, but picked up nicely when I switched to a spinner and bottom bouncer. I did not catch a big fish, but saw some bigger fish caught (up to 27"), and heard of a number of bigger fish caught, mostly in the morning. Talking to Dan Miller, he did well jigging, but he pulls his jigs at the speed of a bouncer. Guess movement was the key yesterday. I usually fish my jigs so slow, the rust away before I get them in. Most importantly, Kringle was happy with the results.
