Friday greeted my guest and I with flat water along with the lightest of variable breezes, not my favorite walleye weather. Rigged with 1/8th ounce weedless Invasion jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or large fatheads, we worked different depths, structures, speed of retrieve, vertical jigging, you name and all we got was a rockbass for our efforts. Finally a north wind picked up enough to do some shallow water drifting with slip bobber rigs and that never worked for us either. We then switched to 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a small piece of crawler or medium fatheads and worked a good number of cribs. Here, we found walleye, bluegill, and a very good number of big jumbo perch. A great ending to a very tough day.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
