The up and down weather has made for an inconsistent Musky bite the first couple weeks of the season. The most effective and consistent presentation has been slowly twitching 6" crane or jake baits in 2-5' feet of water around the new weed growth. Slowly moving through areas and putting a lot of casts over a spot has been important as well, often times fish have not been biting or following until multiple casts have been made over the same area. The warm weather moving in this weekend should have the fish moving better on small buck tails and maybe slow moving top water in the evenings. Good Luck!!
