After surviving 25 mph winds and a temp that felt like 18 degrees on Opening Day (May 14)...Anglers have adjusted to the June-like conditions and are catching and eating nice Walleyes. Sizes range from 13 inches to 25 1/2 inches. The biggest was landed by Travis Green. Three different groups called me over to sample their fresh fried Walleye as it came out of the frying pan. I'm always game for that! I was also forced to sample some brats, cookies...and everything!! Pike, Perch and Crappies are also being caught...not too many big Pike....mostly those in that medium size that like to take your bait. Spot tail shiners have proven once again to be a great Walleye bait, but now that it's 70 degrees and sunny, most anglers have switched to Night Crawlers and are doing very well.

We have some cabins available if you think you might like to get away and do some fishing at a clean and friendly place.
