Ice us out again for 2015

Woke up to very strong winds and open water. Tried to get some good pictures, but the rain is blowing into our area too hard. Waves are about three feet or more with big gusts from the northeast.

Well, that's a new ice out record. Thanks for the info Tiny. Hoping to get some tip ups in over Christmas week. Let us know if it gets a good base again over the next couple of days.

Your welcome Jay, Temps are in the upper 30's along with strong south winds for the last two dazes...... It's suppose to cold down the next few days, but the winds are going to be strong.

We got about three inches of snow if that helps.

Thin ice and a forecast of 8 inches of snow sounds like another early season disaster. Any updates on ice thickness?

Yesterday we had open water, but it did freeze over this morning with temps in the single digits. A few people have been out fishing in the protected bays.
