Default Things have been kinda slow this month.....

but we are still moving a fish or two but struggling to put anything big in the net. Water temps are unusually high for late-September and plenty of high pressure fronts sitting right on top of us. Bait supply is huge and low water has not helped the cause.

We will grind again this weekend with the hopes of a better bite. Good Luck!

I pike and no musky sightings in a 5 hour day. Food everywhere!

One 5# smallmouth yesterday is all that hit the bag. We did see a few muskies/pike but no eaters. Weather changes this week so let's see what happens....

Kinzua began blending the upper and lower gates as the Fall drawdown continues. Water temps dropped 4-5 degrees as a result of the gate blending and the severe cold front. Fishing for us (artificial lures only) was tough but we did manage a fish or two with 1 nice musky lost on a bass sized spinnerbait.

I only got to fish on Monday and things were still pretty tough. I chased Esox on the fly with 2 experienced guys and we managed to catch the equivalent of a unicorn (tiger musky) in the last spot of the day. It was only the 4th tiger we have ever boated here in the river and only the 5th I have ever seen here. Most likely, these tigers are natural unless this guy came from a considerable distance away. Either way, it was a special catch and a VERY rare find (at least for my boat).

I had a very nice musky miss me at boatside after 2 turns on the 8 and my client had a mid-30's shake off half way back to boat. Lethargic strikes for sure.
